Syria: The truth about Homs

HOMS - Over the past couple of days, new of heavy clashes and sectarian fighting have been reported in the city of Homs. According to Human rights activists, the clashes started after three regime supporters kidnapped last week were killed and their dismembered bodies were returned to their relatives last Saturday.
More than thirty people were reportedly killed in deadly sectarian clashes between civilians over the week-end, a first in Syria.
Witnesses say the army did not interfere, others say some of the soldiers were participating in the clashes dressed as civilians.
After it was announced that calm was reinstated in the city, reports of more clashes emerged on Monday. Syrian revolution tweepers had a lot of details on the situation :
According to @SyrianJasmine , "very heavy fighting" was taking place in different neighbourhoods of the city "with the support of the army". @Damasdaisy strongly denied there were sectarian fights in the city. Hinting it was the army that was spreading such news.
@RevolutionSyria posted several witness videos on the protests in Homs, whereas @SyrRevo reported that "regime thugs were attacking hospitals" in the city.
After witenesses reported more than 10 dead in attacks this morning @Homsnewsnetwork said "calm was back to the city".
UPDATE: According to @shaamnews mobile phone reception has been cut in "some" areas of the city of Homs and the "army is shooting randomly" to scare civilians and force them to flee their homes.
