Hezbollah vs. STL : tensions rising

BEIRUT - A couple of weeks before the official expiry of the 30 day notice to deliver the suspects named in the arrest warrants of the Special Tribunal for Lebanon, Hezbollah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasralah defied once again the international community by refusing in a speech on Tuesday to comply with the demands of the STL.
"A resistance movement that was not shaken by one of the most powerful armies in  the world, shall not be shaken" by the STL, said Nasrallah in a televised speech.
"The new conspiracy of the STL will go in vain, and a 100 indictments will not change a thing," he added.
On the other hand, the leader of the chiite party praised president Michel Sleimane's call for a new National Dialogue stating that Hezbollah "supports" and "welcomes" such an initiative.
The four suspects named in the STL arrest warrants are still no where to be found.
Lebanese media has been talking about new indictments which will name top Lebanese and Syrian officials and are to be issued before the end of the month.

BEYROUTH - Dans un discours prononcé mardi soir, le chef du Hezbollah sayyed Hassan Nasrallah a réaffirmé la position de son parti face aux mandats d'arrêts du Tribunal spécial pour le Liban (TSL), chargé d'enquêter sur l'assassinat de l'ancien Premier ministre Rafic Hariri.
"Une Résistance qui n'a pas été bouleversée par l'une des armées les plus puissantes du monde, ne sera pas affectée par le Tribunal international de Daniel Bellemare (Procureur général du TSL)", a déclaré sayyed Nasrallah lors d'un discours télévisé.
"Le complot du TSL est en vain, même la publication de 100 actes d'accusations n'auront pas d'impact sur notre mouvement", a-t-il ajouté.
Par ailleurs, le dirigeant chiite s'est félicité de l'initiative du président de la République Michel Sleimane concernant le Dialogue National. "Nous sommes prêt à dialoguer et nous soutenons cette initiative", a-t-il précisé.
Les quatre suspects, tous membre du Hezbollah, nommés dans l'acte d'accusation publié le 30 juin n'ont toujours pas été retrouvés.
