As Ye Sow, So Shall Ye Reap

OSLO - The twin attacks that devastated Norway last week are proof of how terrorism has affected societies all over the world, in the last decade.
Moments after the blast and the shootings, little where the people who had any doubt about the identity of the culprits. Everybody pictured dark bearded men, wearing traditional clothing and opening fire on innocent white men, women and children.
Even Al Qaeda itself was congratulating its "soon to be announced" members who carried out their "Jihad"
This time, for the first time, it was not the case.
But then again, the stated motives of the suspect, identified by local media as Anders Behring Breivik, are a direct result of terrorism, and the propaganda of this culture of hate.
In his manifesto Breivik, a young white christian man says his motive was to eradicate Islam.
Without delving in the details of his writings, it is easy to understand that this man was deeply disturbed by the culture and propaganda of terrorist organisations such as Al Qaeda.
The mere existence of organisations with objectives such as the one he stated show that Al Qaeda has accomplished the one objective nobody wanted it to: creating a rival ideology. An organisation with the same culture, except it is christian.
It does somehow feel like, we are going back to the crusader era.
In fact, ever since Al Qaeda was created, they refer to europeans, americans and christians in general as "The crusaders".
If killing Ossama Ben Laden was a "victory" for some, it seems as though it is the start of a really dark era for the rest of us...

Why Norway? Explanations from Jihadi forums

OSLO - Minutes after the blast that rocked the Norwegian capital, Islamic and Jihadi forums started spreading the news and congratulating themselves for the attack.
However, there were no obvious posts claiming the responsibility of the blast. Instead, (in some of the forums) militants were discussing the probable impact of the explosion on the muslim community in Scandinavia.
But unfortunately, they were all hoping that it was a group linked to Al-Qaeda that carried out the attack. They wanted vengeance for the elimination of their leader Oussama Ben Laden.
The first thing that popped up in everyone's mind when the explosion took place were the controversial caricatures published in 2006 by a Danish newspaper and later by a big Norwegian journal.
It didn't take long before people started wondering if Al-Qaeda was behind all this.
However, the shootings that took place at the same time, not too far from the capital, complicated the matter. It's not your typical Al-Qaeda operation.
On the Jihadi forums, militants were already planning their next target. "Finland, France and England... you are next," threatened one of the members of the forums.
Later Jihadica.com posted a message by Abu Sulayman al-Nasir on the Arabic jihadi forum regarding the attack. The man does not claim it, but instead explains why Norway was targeted.
1-"For the publications of caricatures of our prophet"
2-"Because Norway sent 400 soldiers to +occupy+ Afghanistan".
A terrorist group called "Assistants of the Global Jihad" claimed responsibility of the attacks for the abovementioned reasons. And said there would be "more to come"
For those of you who can read Arabic, or who know how to use google translate check this thread on an Arabic Islamic forum.
May all who died in this attack rest in peace. Lets hope one day this madness will stop.
